Dreams Do Come True
Dreams do come true! If you believe strong enough in them, and if you keep working hard in working smart on your dreams – they will come true!
The journey of a coach, or any individual striving towards a dream, is a testament to the potent blend of perseverance, smart work, and the unwavering pursuit of goals!
Never Giving Up – The Heart of Persistence
The cornerstone of any successful coaching career is the resilience to face setbacks without giving up. Challenges and obstacles are inevitable, but the resolve to persevere through tough times is what separates only those who are “dreamers” from the actual achievers. For coaches, this means staying committed to their vision, regardless of temporary defeats or failures, knowing that every great achievement requires the courage to persist.
Working Hard and Smart – The Best Strategy of Success
Hard work is non-negotiable in the quest for success, but it’s the addition of working smart in working hard that elevates potential into achievement. For coaches, this means not just investing time and effort but doing so with strategic precision. It involves continuous learning, adapting to new methods, leveraging strengths, and addressing weaknesses.
A smart approach often involves innovative training methods, personalized athlete development, and a deep understanding of the psychological aspects of coaching. It’s about making every hour of work count and every action purposeful towards the ultimate goal.
Dreams Do Come True – The Reward of Dedication
Dreams materialize for those who are prepared to put in the work, seize opportunities, and remain steadfast in their pursuit. For coaches, this translates into a relentless dedication to their work and their athletes. It’s about being ready when opportunity knocks, often in the form of a chance to coach a new team, implement a novel training technique, or lead an athlete to break a personal record. These moments are the building blocks of a dream realized!!!
Coaches who embody these principles find that dreams are not just empty hopes, but achievable realities. They understand that success is a journey marked by constant learning, adaptation, and growth. They know that, in order to reach their dreams, they must remain persistent, work intelligently, and never let setbacks discourage them!
In essence, the fulfillment of dreams for coaches depends on their readiness to embrace hard work, adopt smart strategies, and maintain an unwavering commitment to their goals.
This journey, even though very demanding, is incredibly rewarding, for it is paved with personal growth, professional achievement, and the profound impact they have on the lives of their athletes!
New Dimension of Coaching – Coaching at The Handball World Championship
We (South Korean men’s national team) have our first game today at the 28th World Championship, and for me that means a fulfillment of one of my biggest coaching handball dreams!!!! 🙂
It is an honor for me to take part in this kind of a competition, with this kind of dedicated, hard working, professional, disciplined, and devoted people that are our staff and our players!
There are many amazing coaches who worked hard and took part in several World Championships, won medals, had all of these amazing experiences that being in this kind of event brings, but there are also many hard working and amazing coaches who never got to experience that yet.
Until now, I belonged to the second group – because this is my first time to coach at the World Championship.
And that’s why I am full of gratitude, pride, and deep, deep appreciation of every single step that I dared to take, that led me to this moment.
Today is the result of countless hours invested in reading, learning, researching, developing and improving my coaching skills in the last 2 decades of my life.
Today is the product of courage to follow my heart in all directions in which it has led me so far; stepping into the unknown; daring to fail; daring to accept, confess and learn from each failure that I experienced; going forward even in the most dark or absurd situations; sacrificing time with my family; pushing myself to keep going forward even when everything was telling me that I should stop; pushing myself to keep going forward even when I didn’t want to; continuing to stand strong as a woman in many projects where was always somehow more expected and supported to be as a man; being consistent through the hardest and least motivating times; and staying centered, focused and present through it all!!!
The coaching profession is beautiful, but it’s also endlessly challenging and hard.
Nothing ever comes readily served in life, and many of us get exhausted with constant “tests” and challenges that life serves us, and we give up before we get to experience the fruition of our hard work.
So remember, whether you are on the verge of strength and patience on your path, or if you are just at the beginning, remember to always, always be present and be aware of every single step that you are taking right now! Be deeply grateful for it, celebrate yourself and your courage for it, no matter how big or small steps you are taking!
Because what will matter after all, are not achievements or accomplishments at the end, but it’s the beauty of every single step (big or small) that you dared to take in the meantime!
What will matter at the end is the beauty of Learning throughout the entire Journey that took you there!
Here is a big thank you to everyone and everything who ever crossed my path until today!!!
Every single interaction and cooperation with all of you that I ever worked or cooperated with is what enriched and empowered my entire coaching path and my Life Journey.
All of that is what helped me to get here, now, and to enjoy the significance of today and the honor of being able to coach at The World Championship! I will never take any of this for granted! And I will never stop being grateful for an amazing coaching career that I managed to build! 🙂 🙂 🙂
