HOW TO BE A BETTER COACH

Majority of handball goalkeeper courses or educations are based on a certain number of exercises, or on a collection of exercises delivered to the user, with potential overall explanation of how the exercise should be done.

Creating exercises, in my opinion, is one of the easiest parts once you understand what, how and why you should do in your training.

When I’m working with coaches or goalkeepers, I give my best to simplify and explain every single aspect of the topic we are working on. My main focus is on providing the tools and understanding of the topic, in a way that people I work with start feeling empowered so that they get the confidence and knowledge to create their own exercises.

Good coaches are always, ALWAYS open for feedback! Good coaches will never seem arrogant or egoistic, and they will never present their knowledge and coaching as the only “right” way.

My best tip for you on how to be a better coach is: be hungry to improve and never stop learning!

Find a way to create an inspiring environment around yourself for learning and growth.

HOW TO BE A BETTER COACH IN AN INSPIRING ENVIRONMENT

I’ve built my entire coaching philosophy around my strong dedication to always improve, being open to learn something new from everyone I meet, being able to consider more points of view to be true, being humble and honoured to be able to share the knowledge and experience I gained over the years with other coaches.

A good coach will always have the space of openness to other coaching ideas and coaching philosophies.

Even when you don’t know how something should be done, you can always be humble and willing to learn about it.

For as long as we have hunger for learning – we will keep improving!

Your coaching path will stop developing the moment when you think you’ve figured it all out, or when you think you’re the only one who figured it all out.

This is why I love sharing so many resources, articles, and videos that I shared for free on my website in the past 10 years. I was always open to serve others, help them get inspired, and help them figure out things by themselves.

I have been successfully combining and using my knowledge from applied neuroscience, mental training, breathwork, meditation and mindfulness practice in my coaching for years.

It’s very important to share and exchange coaching ideas, make connections, and have a coaching community that is inspiring, supportive and creative.

It’s important to have an environment which will enable your ideas and coaching creativity to flourish!

ONLINE COURSES ABOUT HANDBALL GOALKEEPER COACHING

I have created and based my Level 1 and Level 2 online courses on the idea that I want to provide space and inspiration for every coach to understand the main principles of goalkeeper coaching and to become more confident in coaching goalkeepers.

Approximately every 2 months I open my Level 1 online course for handball coaches about goalkeeping in which we are working on understanding all the first steps and necessary basics about goalkeeper coaching!

My next Level 1 group will be held on January 8th – 9th 2022, and there are still some available places so you can apply if you are interested in learning more about handball goalkeeper coaching.

As I already explained many times – my online courses are available also if you can’t make it to live online sessions, because video recordings are available afterwards. More about that you can read here.

Now I am ready and willing to expand the topics and share my coaching ideas outside of only handball goalkeeper coaching, in other sports and positions.

That’s why I created The Vanja Radic Coaching Inner Circle.

THE VANJA RADIC COACHING INNER CIRCLE

I love interacting with other coaches who are interested in improving and expanding their coaching skills, and I love exchanging ideas and coaching processes with them.

If we are open to it, we can all always learn something new from everyone we meet and talk to!

I am very passionate about expanding my coaching knowledge beyond the limits of handball goalkeeper coaching, because that’s the only way to expand and improve overall as a coach or as a human being – to not stay stuck only in one field of interest.

The most important thing for every coach who wants to develop and improve is to be in an environment that is inspiring and supportive of the improvement.

But where do we find that kind of coaching environment which will help us hear and see different ideas that will inspire us to create even more of our own ideas?

This is why I created The Vanja Radic Coaching Inner Circle, which will start in February 2022.

The Vanja Radic Coaching Inner Circle is a monthly group coaching program that will last 6 months, with monthly coaching group Zoom meetings which you can follow in live or watch video recordings afterwards. There will be talks and lectures on different coaching topics every month, with a delivery of exercises suggestions in video or PDF format about given topics.

The best part of this inner circle is that it will be an open space for your questions and for brainstorming of many different ideas and aspects about coaching (goalkeeper coaching, handball coaching, or any other sport’s coaching).

Vanja Radic Coaching Inner Circle is not going to be focused only on handball goalkeeper coaching. I wanted to provide the space to share a lot of my coaching ideas that can be applied in many different sports, not only for handball goalkeepers.

I have been successfully combining and using my knowledge from applied neuroscience, mental training, vision training, nervous system training, breathwork, meditation and mindfulness practice in my coaching for years. Now I am ready to share it with all of you on a bigger scale!
