Handball is Teaching Us Big Life Lessons

Saves of penalty shots are always a great challenge and a great success both for a goalkeeper, and for a goalkeeper’s coach!
Especially when the tactical deal made beforehand is respected and followed up by the goalkeeper!

Rebounds after saves are good reminders for ebbs and flows in handball, and in life. Sometimes we all win, sometimes we learn, and sometimes we win and we learn simultaneously!

Notice how there is no “losing” in a loss or in a mistake, if the main focus is on learning.

Remember that learning curves in handball and in life are never only straight, and never only upwards!

Learning implies being willing to Change, and every Change is painful and uncomfortable.
So embrace the discomfort, and embrace learning by finding a way to have Trust in what you are learning!

Sometimes, in order to take some of the biggest Leaps in life, we need to experience the total opposite of it, which is a total collapse, total break down. In the space of “collapse”/failure/ebb in life or in handball, we have time to process and integrate what we are learning, and we have time to gather enough strength and willpower to get up again, and to continue moving Forward!!!!

Remember, the deeper the “collapse” – the greater and higher Leap is possible to make, to reach some of the biggest Heights we have ever experienced!!!

Always remember to be proud of how far you’ve come!
